Abstract :
In this paper it is presented an Auxiliary Quantification System of Applied Force in Posteroanterior Movements Technique. This system measures the force applied by the physiotherapist, on the vertebrae of the patients during the application of PosteroAnterior movements, allowing the quantification of the applied force on the therapy. The upper limit of the applied force is 700 N with a resolution of 0,7 N. The system is portable being constituted by a Sender Station and a Base Station. The Sender Station contains a neoprene glove where two force sensors are placed; one on the thumb and the other on the pisiform bone. The signals acquired by the sensors are processed, quantified and sent by radio frequency to the Base Station. This Base Station allows the visualisation of the force applied on the patient on a LCD or on a personal computer, through the software, FISIO XXI, developed in the ambit of this work.
