Abstract :
The last two authors introduced a special class of linear-phase FIR hers, called multiple-branch FIR lters for sampling rate conversion. To minimize the multiplication rate of the aforementioned class of lters, the authors proposed a systematic technique, based on nonlinear (quadratic) optimization. This paper presents an improvement over the proposed approach through additional constraints in the optimization routine.
