in Proceedings of Eighth Annual IEEE International Conference and Workshop on the Engineering of Computer Based Systems (ECBS), 2001
After careful and considered review of the content and authorship of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE\´s Publication Principles.
This paper duplicates portions of original text from the papers cited below. The original text was used without clear delineation from the author\´s work, and without permission.
Due to the nature of this violation, reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper, and future references should be made to the following articles:

in Proceedings of the Ninth International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (SEKE-97), pp 535.542.
"REBOUND: A Framework for Automated Component Adaptation"
by John Penix
in Proceedings of the 9th Annual Workshop on Software Reuse (WISR-99), 1999.
The key to integration is determining the relationship between what components are potentially reusable and how they can be properly adapted. This paper addresses how the results of specification matching can be used to guide the selection and application of adaptation tactics and automate component adaptation and system integration based on type, interface, and behavior adaptation.
