  • Abstract
    Error concealment methods on the stereoscopic video coding are mainly studied in cases of chess board type MB loss and/or continuous slice loss, and are less concerned for entire frame loss. In this paper, a novel error concealment scheme is proposed, dealing with the loss of an entire video frame in the right view sequence of a stereoscopic video. By the analysis of inter-view coding correlation, the MB partition mode, prediction mode, and the reference frame as well, can be determined, and then concealed under the Motion Skip mode. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme well exploits the inter-view correlation and PSNR of the restored frame can be improved by 0.12-1.87dB compared to the frame copy algorithm.
