Abstract :
This paper describes the impact on the power system of a large-scale penetration of photovoltaic (PV) generation. The dynamic response of a PV generation system to rapid change in irradiance is analyzed. Different types of voltage control techniques used to mitigate the negative effects of rapid changes in irradiance are investigated using simulation. The dynamic response of PV generation when subjected to faults is also analyzed.
