Abstract :
In distribution power systems, single-phase earth-faults usually happen. With the development of network automation and the rise of power supply quality of users, how to remove the faults quickly and restore normal power supply becomes people´s concern. The proposed method of “Signal injection method” and the device of small current grounding location solve the problem of fault line selection, but fault location problem still exists. Based on the fault line selection, this paper analyzes the voltage and current of the detected signals and deduces the fault distance formula. Matlab/Simulink simulations verify the accuracy of this method. This method isn´t affected by load and arc extinction coil, influenced little by the ground resistance, and has high accuracy.
