  • Abstract
    In order to visually simulate the burning phenomenon of a single plant, we present a computer method based on the law of physics. First, we respectively simulate the plant and the burning frame by using the technique of fractal and particles system, and then simulate the process of deformation and discoloration of branches based on dynamics of physics. The proposed method was realized on the graphics hardware, NVIDIA GeForce3, by using the OpenGL functions. The experiment results showed that through controlling the parameters of plant model, the initial point of the burning flame and the initial flame size, we can get a realistic simulation effect of the plant burning.
