Abstract :
In this study, the antioxidant responses induced by myclobutanil in zebrafish (Danio rerio) were analyzed. Changes in activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA) and catalase (CAT) in the liver of fish were determined. The results showed that as myclobutanil concentration increased, significant changes in SOD and CAT activities and MDA level were found, suggesting that activities of enzymes mentioned above could be used as biomarkers for environmental myclobutanil levels. A delicate regulatory mechanism(s) may be present in zebrafish that controls antioxiadase activities based on quantitative level of myclobutanil the fish exposed.
