Abstract :
The Philips KMZ10 magnetoresistive sensor is evaluated as an automotive contactless throttle position sensor. The device proves to provide the necessary performance in output signal versus angular displacement, linearity, and temperature behavior required for high reliability, cost-effective automotive application. The authors detail the approach taken to develop an operational prototype which is a `drop in´ solution for the conventional electromechanical device
