Abstract :
The Communications Technology Division at GEC-Marconi Research Centre is involved in the application of high performance digital signal processing (DSP) solutions to radio, signal processing and real-time control systems. The paper describes the key features of a very high performance DSP system designed for large scale active control. The DSP system presented is designed as an integrated real-time processor with multiple analogue input and output channels. Capable of being scaled to meet the requirements of less demanding applications, its peak performance is expressed as 25 GFLOPS with 1344 analogue inputs and 672 analogue outputs sampling at 100 kHz
