Abstract
The effective use of vast amounts of collected data in the wireless sensor network requires scalable and energy-efficient algorithms. A provided solution is the data-centric storage which itself suffers from the hot-spot problem. This problem occurs when the mass of sent queries and events to a particular node is more than the capacity of that node. In this paper a hybrid method has been offered which dynamically determines network conditions such as the rate of query and event production for each event type. Decision making is done in the sink where a suitable method is selected for each event. The results of evaluation show that this method can solve the hot-spot problem in the wireless sensor network in an effective way. There is also an increase in the lifetime of the network in comparison with other methods.
