Abstract :
Folded ridge substrate integrated waveguide (FRSIW) and cavity are proposed with very compact configurations. Both magnetic and electric couplings are easily realized for the FRSIW resonators. Then, a quasi-elliptic bandpass filters is developed with multilayer PCB technology. When compared with the conventional SIW counterpart, the area and volume of our proposed FRSIW filter are reduced by 90% and 77%, respectively. The performance is demonstrated by the reasonable agreement between the simulated and measured results. The discrepancies are also carefully analyzed.
