Abstract :
The author looks at matters from the viewpoint of someone who has been selling satellite communications for the past several years. This position allows him to know the standard objections that are brought up regularly and some of the more outlandish reasons people have given for not wanting to consider VSAT or even to discuss the possibility. A summary of Maxat and the services the company offers is given. The company is divided into two divisions, television services and data services. The television services operates in three spheres: permanent uplinks for satellite TV channels; satellite news gathering; and business television
