In the heating period of winter, there are some problems as inadequate heating and uneven heating existed in the end of heating of central heating system, using heating substation with peak-shaving boiler is a effective method to solve those problems. Conventional control methods are difficult to meet the heating substation operational requirements of practical engineering for heating process with the characteristics of non-linearity, time delay and uncertainty. In order to obtain satisfactory control effect a compound control method was presented in this paper. a simplified DMC(Dynamic Matrix Control) was used as a feedback control of heating process, disturbance of peak-shaving boiler was used for feed-forward compensation adjustment. Simulation results proved that this compound control method had a better tracking and robustness than general DMC method.
