Survey on situation of Chinese college students choosing to use social networking

In China, social media networking is being used by college students. What effect will Social networking have on the life and learning of college students? What is the real using state of students and the existing problems? Whether does social networking have potential educational value to college students, and whether would college students have applied social networking actively and healthily? In this article, we used survey method to solve these questions. We distributed the questionnaire by online questionnaire platform to research the current using state. Research result shows that Chinese college students choose to use domestic social networking generally, the common behavior is to communicate with friends and students, entertain and display themselves. Social networking does not play the educational role and the idea of web2.0 “sharing, constructing, converging” doesn´t realize. It will be the future research how to explore the potential educational value of social media and promote college students better grow and develop by social networking.
