Abstract :
A waveguide that resembles a thin hockey stick has been developed to convey shear waves without dispersion over paths of 10 to 50 cm. This waveguide can be clamped or welded to hot pipes to measure the flow of superheated water. Clamp-on results from the first field trials at 260°C are presented
