Abstract :
A small-size uniplanar antenna with octa-band WWAN/LTE operation in the tablet computer is proposed. The antenna comprises a driven monopole, parasitic shorted strip and an internal printed matching circuit integrated with a shorted strip. And, the obtained impedance bandwidth across the operating bands can reach about 262 / 1610 MHz for the LTE / WWAN bands, respectively. The measured peak gains and radiation efficiencies are about 1.33 / 3.0 dBi and 85 / 98 % for the LTE / WWAN bands, respectively.
