Abstract :
In this paper, a new small-sized microstrip-fed ultra-wideband(UWB) planar monopole antenna with frequency band-rejected characteristic is proposed. The antenna is composed of a rectangle patch and finite ground. Creating H-shaped slot by current distribution can achieve 5 to 6 GHz band-rejected performance. Moreover, the radiated pulse in time domain is analyzed. The results validates that the antenna satisfies the requirements of UWB communications, and will be a good solution for UWB applications.
