Abstract :
Discusses creation of cathodes with a high current density of emission, creation of three-dimensional election-optical systems with a high compression of electron beams and creation of spatially-developed multiresonator electrodynamic systems. The analysis of a possibility of creation of multibeam klystron with output power 80-100 MW and with power supply voltage rating no more than 120 kW in a range 12 MHz was conducted by Stanford University. The analysis has shown that the creation of such device is quite possible. Thus, the creation of high-power and super-power klystrons with rather low supply voltage and very high (up to 90%) efficiency is possible
