Abstract :
Egovernment is expected by all "customers" of the administration (citizen, enterprise, coworker) as an additional channel of interaction. Creation and funding of such egovernment structures requires the willingness to cooperate across both functional and organizational entities in technical regard and concerning the definition and implementation of standards. In the following the technical and financial prerequisites for a inter-municipal egovernment (partly applies to an individual administration) as well as the practical experiences are described by the example of the egovernment platform in Nordrhein-Westfalen, which is the largest province of Germany with more than 18 million inhabitants.
