Abstract
The aim of our work is to specify and build a system dedicated to training in radiology-senology based on the exploitation of senologic images and their related clinical information. The system is called SAFRS (Systeme d´Aide a la Formation des Radiologues-Senologues i.e. system supporting the training of radiologists-senologists). The case-based reasoning (CBR) approach represents expert knowledge as a set of cases. This set of cases (experience) may then be reused when solving new problems, e.g. when making new diagnoses. The CBR approach is totally suited to the aim of our SAFRS system, namely to enable junior radiologists-senologists to learn from the experience of senior colleagues. We have represented the cases using an object-oriented approach, namely UML formalism.
