Abstract
A proof-of-principle study for the new concept of microwave measurement, the space-domain microwave reflectometry, has been performed successfully for what is believed to be the first time. The scheme is based on video image analyses for propagation of microwave packets, which are composed of Fourier component wave videos taken by real-time electrooptic imaging technique for two-dimensional (2D) electric field distributions. In addition to the verification of basic evaluation capability for a reflector position, 2D scattering of a linearly incident wave was clearly visualized.
