Abstract :
Some methods for improving the performances of magnetron injection gun of gyrotron, especially increasing the ratio of transverse to longitudinal velocity, are described in this paper. α=2.39 has been reached by modifying the magnetic field profile in adiabatic compression area, adjusting the equilibrium between electric field force and magnetic field force, and changing the tilt angle of the post focus pole. This value is much larger than the original value (α=1.4). Besides, the reversion, oscillation and interception of electron beam in the gun area can avoided by selecting gun parameters
