  • Abstract
We propose and demonstrate experimentally, to the best of our knowledge, a Code-Tunable Direct Sequence Coherent OCDMA device based on Silicon On Insulator (SOI) employing thermo-optical phase shifters for the code control. The proposed design is scalable and compact and it has been tested in an en-decoding scenario in combination with Super Structured Fibre Bragg Gratings (SSFBG) with a novel design containing separated encoding bands in frequency / time / and code.
