Abstract
The Microelectronics and Photonics Testbed (MPTB) carrying twenty-four experiments on-board a scientific satellite has been in a high radiation orbit since November 1997. This paper presents first results for one of its experiments devoted to the evaluation of the behaviour in space of artificial neural networks implemented on a dedicated architecture. This architecture is built around a reduced instruction set microprocessor with parallelism capabilities, a dedicated neural co-processor and two commercial static RAMs
