  • Abstract
Electrolytic capacitors are responsible for frequent breakdowns of static converters. To set a predictive maintenance, adaptive filter modeling based method is presented using LMS algorithm. Signature of changes in capacitance and ESR will reflect in capacitor ripple voltage because of aging; and these changes are monitored using this adaptive filter modeling to predict the future status of the capacitor using only the input current of the system
