Abstract
Anisotropic, bianisotropic and chiral media or so-called complex or composite materials have caused growing interest in terms of their theoretical investigation and wide field of applications. There have been several publications on the development of the Surface Integral Equation Method (SIEM) for bianisotropic planar structures, including transmission lines on bianisotropic substrates. The impedance or admittance SIEM is suitable only for infinite or shielded substrates with coordinate forms. For non-coordinate media the most efficient method is the Volumetric Integral Equation Method (VIEM), which have been extended here for bianisotropic media
