Abstract
The natural distribution power generations such as solar energy and wind energy contain electric power fluctuation, the flywheel energy storage (FWES) equipment for the power compensation is used. V/f fuzzy logic control of the induction motor is proposed for the speed sensorless power leveling system in this paper. According to the DC-side average current of an inverter, the rotating speed of the flywheel in the start-up process is detected by regulating the output frequency and voltage based on fuzzy logic control, and the proportional gain kp and integral gain ki of PI regulator are optimized by means of fuzzy reasoning for the purpose of the reliability and rapid response of leveling power. The experiments are carried out with a FWES equipment of 40 kJ energy, and the results verify that the proposed method is reliable and the better dynamic and steady state performance is demonstrated.
