Abstract :
This paper applies H∞ fixed-order controller design for flexible transmission system. Positive polynomial matrices and convex optimization over linear matrix inequalities are used to design H∞ fixed-order controller. In this design method, the order of the controller is fixed and independent of order of plant and weighting functions. . The only key design is to choose an appropriate central polynomial which is based on desired characteristic polynomial and weighting functions. So, it is possible to design a H∞ controller with lower order than classic H∞ controller. In this paper after designing a H∞ fixed-order controller the results is compared with the classic H∞ controller.
