Abstract
An analytically-based approach for the design of a miniaturized unequal dual-band Wilkinson power divider is proposed. The significant size reduction results from using slow wave structures in place of conventional transmission lines. The slow wave structures are realized by periodically loaded lines. Theoretically, closed-form equations for the design are derived based on transmission line theory. The S-parameters of the experimental results are similar to the transmission line simulations and the area reduction of 28.4% is achieved with this technique.
