Abstract
The performance of M-PSK modulation combined with the (23,12,7) Golay code on Rayleigh fading channel with independent Gaussian noise is analyzed for mobile data communication. A modified generalized minimum distance decoding is proposed to exploit the channel state information and the complexity of the decoder is examined. Simulation is used to evaluate the residual bit error rate after decoding versus signal to noise ratio for QPSK and 8-PSK modulations
