Abstract
The control of the pulse spectrum at the output of nonlinear fibers is crucial in many applications. In this contribution we implement a new strategy based on optical wave-breaking to map the group-velocity-dispersion curve of highly nonlinear fibers to the spectral profile of the output pulsed light. So we efficiently manipulate the spectral characteristics of the emerging pulsed light by engineering the dispersion function of the waveguide.
