Abstract :
A high efficient misaligned wireless power transfer resonator is designed by using additional capacitor and magnetic resonant coupling. The resonator is simply designed by inserting a series capacitor to a coil. The proposed resonator has 88% maximum transmission efficiency at aligned distance of 40cm between TX and RX at 4.22MHz. In addition, it is experimentally demonstrated at misalignment that the transmission efficiency of the proposed resonator is increased by 6.1% comparing with conventional magnetic resonant coupling.
