Abstract
In this paper, delta-sigma data conversion and a survey of state-of-the-art delta-sigma ADCs for broadband digital communication is proposed. The design of the signal transfer function (STF) in order to significantly reduce the harmonic distortion due to analog-circuit nonidealities in the loop filter of the delta-sigma modulator is also described. The suitability of various delta-sigma modulator architectures for implementation in low-voltage advanced CMOS technology is emphasized. This paper also presents several design techniques for broadband delta-sigma ADCs.
