Abstract :
A high gain beam-forming antenna with two-layer 4-element super gain antennas is proposed for 2.4GHz long range wireless LAN applications. The simulation results shows that the proposed antenna has a 10dBi gain and 360 beam steering capability. The antenna size is 120 mm × 60 mm × 31.25 mm, and smaller than currently available directive antennas with a similar gain. The proposed antenna is suitable for an access point antenna of outdoor wireless LAN.
