Abstract
Because of complex and harsh environments in the underground mine, the localization accuracy of wireless sensor network node in coal mine has been greatly affected. So a new weighted centroid localization algorithm in coal Mine wireless sensor networks based on RSSI algorithm was proposed. Based on the full study of the underground wireless signal transmission attenuation model, RSSI algorithm to use for distance measurements, and combine with weighted centroid algorithm for node localization. Simulation results show that new algorithm improves the localization accuracy of nodes in the mine.
