Abstract
In this paper, the orchard relations are extended to include the general pattern forms such as symmetrical and nonsymmetrical sum patterns and difference patterns. Then the genetic algorithm (GA) is used to find the optimum root locations that generate the desired pattern from the extended relations. Also, for the first time, we directly impose the constraints on generator voltages and reduce the dynamic range of voltage sources. Also we consider the mutual coupling (MC) in pattern synthesis with the isolated element pattern method and modify generator voltages to include MC. We show that this method is an effective method for wire elements.
