Abstract :
Chen et al., (2000) developed a multi-step selection procedure to determine the number of signal components in radar measurements. We use Monte Carlo experiments to compare and contrast the performance of this method with the single-step selection procedure proposed by Chen and Wicks (2000). The simulations show that the multi-step selection procedure outperforms the single-step selection procedure
