Abstract :
Network resiliency has become one of the most concerns of services providers who aim to deploy real time applications and provide high availability for their customer. Several papers in the literature proposed solutions to improve protection schemes and to minimize network fault impact. This paper investigates performance evaluation of layer 2/3 protection mechanisms namely Fast Reroute-based mechanisms. The tests have been carried out in our IP over DWDM network testbed that simulate real ISPs network.
