Abstract
This paper proposes a fuzzy logic based approach for measuring e-readiness (the investment climate) of a country. Because of its ability to work with imprecise data, fuzzy logic is well suited for this task. Firstly, this paper presents the difficulties in measuring e-readiness of a country. Secondly, this paper proposes a data model for set of indicators about a country´s macro economic, political and social conditions. Finally, this paper shows development of a fuzzy inference system for measuring e-readiness of a country; the design options (such as single engine versus multi engine inference system, Mamdani versus Sugeno inference method) are also raised.
