Abstract
The removal of heavy metal ions(HMI) contained in the electroplating wastewater by precipitation flotation was studied. Experimental results show that chromium, copper, nickel and other heavy metals can be removed efficiently, and all the water quality indexes were up to the first grade of wastewater discharge standard (GB21900-2008) when the dosage of Na2S (CNa2S:CMe=1.6) and pH7.5-8.5. The percentage of the chromium, copper and nickel in the foam product is 14.2%, 10.3% and 8.2%, respectively. Therefore, it is possible to recover these heavy metals from waste water and yield good economic returns.
