Abstract
The paper deals with an actual improvement of today´s banking service. The need for applying user friendly electronic banking raises the issue of computer understanding of client´s needs integrating such a way the communication of the stored financial information with the cognitive capabilities of the service hided in a semantic network as an inter-cognitive sensor-bridging and representation-bridging complex type of the cognitive infocommunication. The paper presents the schema of an intelligent solution for selecting the right electronic bank operational panel depending on the meaning of the client´s command. To provide this service a semantic-network based method is used which can determine and use the semantic distance between the client´s command and the previously selected and trained commands. In the teaching process the semantic network builds up itself creating associations between the words of sentences. The words may mean prefixes, stems and different types of affixes to make the meaning extraction fine enough. This preparation phase is carried out by previously collected teaching sentences and associated service panel category codes. For a client command the system gives that service provider panel which has the code of the taught sentence having the shortest distance by meaning. The system is Hungarian language oriented, but not language-dependent.
