Abstract
The authors propose a new method for estimating the direction of arrival for cases where the noise is white or colored. The algorithm for estimating the direction of arrival requires only the solution of a polynomial equation whose degree is just equal to the number of signals. The estimate is strongly consistent under minimal moment restrictions. Simulation results for the proposed method are presented
