Abstract :
Filler dosed enhanced primary treatment technology was adopted to treat municipal sewage. The influences of flow speed on the treatment efficiency and operation cycle were investigated. The results showed that this technology could remove SS, COD, and TP efficiently. When the flow speed increased from 2.5m/h to 10 m/h, the removal rates of SS, COD, and TP increased from 62% to 76%, 50% to 68% and 43% to 62%, respectively. Flow velocity affected the operation cycle significantly. Results of comparative experiment showed that the average removal rate of SS, COD by filler dosed enhanced primary treatment increased by 33.6% and 14.1% than that of the primary sedimentation tank of sewage treatment plant.
