Abstract :
Component-based development is one of the new technologies that become nowadays an important issue in software engineering. We have developed a CCA-based framework, which we called the CFDA (CCA-based Component Framework for Distributed Applications). Components are the basic units that are composed together to form an application. The CCA architecture consists of two main entities: ports and frameworks. CCA (Common Component Architecture) is a set of standard interfaces that a high performance framework must provide to components in order to allow components to be composed together to form a runnable application. As a distributed environment, we use the ADAJ (Adaptive Distributed Applications in Java). It provides a distributed execution platform with an observation and load balancing mechanisms.
