Abstract :
Addresses the application of spectral estimation techniques to harmonizable processes. The nature of the spectral coherence exhibited by various types of nonstationary and transient processes is described, it is how spectral estimation techniques used for stationary processes can be adapted to produce the computation of spectral coherence. It is demonstrated how spectral coherence may be used as a signal characterization tool, and results are provided from experimental analysis
