Abstract :
A magnetically separated fly ash micro-sphere (MSFM) were prepared by citrate sol-gel process. The microstructure of the products were tested by SEM and EDS. It was found that the MSFM was coated with network of barium ferrite, which exhibited the magnetic absorption property. Then the TiO2 film photocatalysts immobilized on MSFM were prepared by sol-gel method, methods. The crystal phase and morphology of TiO2 micro-sphere were investigated by XRD and SEM. The photocatalytic activities of TiO2 microsphere with different prepared condition and the amount of TiO2 on microsphere were evaluated by degradation of methyl orange. The results showed that TiO2 microsphere catalyst exhibited good photocatalytic activity and stability for photocatalytic decomposition of methyl orange and the activity was superior to that of TiO2 powder, and easily separated from the reaction system.
