Abstract
This paper proposes the use of three-phase two ports elements to obtain the sustained response of unbalanced electric power system. Representations of three-phase two-ports networks for various types of elements of the electrical power system are described. The methodology is applied to identify the optimum neutral reactor that minimizes the secondary arc current in a transmission system, thus enabling the single-phase auto-reclosing switching implementation.
