Study on Noun Phrase of "N1+V+N2" Structure in Search Engine Query Logs

This paper analyzes the features of "N₁ + V + N₂" structure noun phrase which exists in Sogou log corpus. Using empirical methods, it carried out a comprehensive analysis of this structure of noun phrase from following aspects: characteristics of the constituent elements, syntactic function, levels of segmentation, then we perform statistical analysis on the distribution of the type of phrase in Sogou log corpus. Through the research on the noun phrase of "N₁ + V + N₂" structure, this paper provides a theoretical basis for the construction of phrase dictionary which is used by search engine. What we have done will have a major impact on search engine performance.
