Abstract
In this paper, a new control strategy to control the autonomous operation of a distributed generation (DG) is proposed for first time. The proposed control strategy uses the model predictive control (MPC) to provide fast transient recovery with minimal distortion and overshoot under the short circuit, load transient, and unbalanced load in voltage and current. Also, robust servomechanism program (RSP) controller is simulated as well as MPC controller to compare these controllers together. The results show the good performance of the proposed control strategy.
